Netnography for Tourism Research
Main Article Content
Abstract
Internet is a space for interaction, a social place where virtual communities are formed. Many daily activities are complemented or developed there entirely. Therefore, scientific research must try to understand what happens in cyberspace and netnography is a useful method for that purpose. This paper presents its definition, characteristics and the procedure for its application. In tourism, travelers usually share
their experiences, feelings and needs through the Internet, mainly in forums and social media. Netnography turns out to be a tool for its better understanding, given its qualitative nature.
